02 header-options

Header Options

Pick one of five header layouts under Header Select. Each suits a different logo size and menu complexity.

Header One

Logo above the navbar, opaque navbar, MegaMenu, and social media menu. Ideal for large menu systems because of its MegaMenu.

Header Two

Logo inside (left of) the navbar, transparent navigation, with a social media menu. Good for small logos and a simple design.

Header Three

Fixed full-width fancy header, transparent navigation, sidebar mobile nav (not good for a lot of menu items), with special page options for a small or large header.

Header Four

Bottom-sticky full-width fancy header, transparent navigation, sidebar mobile nav (not good for a lot of menu items).

Header Five

Fixed left sidebar navigation — the layout this site uses.

03 additional-header

Additional Header

Used when a page needs extra header spacing or a hero area. Choose the header type under Additional Header Options, then set the overlay color, overlay opacity and NoSpacer padding.

No Header - No Spacing

No page header and no extra top spacing.

No Header - Just Spacing

No header, but adds top spacing (NoSpacer Padding, e.g. 25px 0) so content clears a fixed navbar.

Small Header (with parallax)

A small hero header with an overlay color / opacity and optional parallax background.

Large Header (full height + width)

A full-viewport hero header with an overlay color / opacity.

Overlay color & opacity

Tint the header background with a color and opacity (default 0.4).

NoSpacer Padding

Padding applied when using a no-header spacing option (default 25px 0).

04 page-options

Pegasus Page Options

Per-page overrides found in the Pegasus Page Options box on each page or post editor. They override the matching global option for that page only.

Fullwidth Container Checkbox

Make the page full-width. This overrides the global full-width theme option.

Disable Page Header

Hide the page header on this page.

05 primary-navigation

Primary Navigation

Build your menu under Appearance → Menus, then assign it to the Primary Menu display location. Set the display location for the primary navigation so each header layout works correctly.

Display location — Primary Menu

Under Menu Settings, check Primary Menu so the menu renders in the header. Every header layout reads from the Primary Menu location.

Social Icon Menu

Assign a menu to the Social Icon Menu location to show social links in the header/footer.

Mega Menu Columns One–Four

For Header One's MegaMenu, assign menus to Mega Menu Column One through Four.

Auto add pages

Optionally auto-add new top-level pages to the menu.

06 social-media

Social Media Links

Show Font Awesome 4 social icons in the primary navigation, the top bar, or the Footer Social widget. There are two ways to add them: as menu items, or as a Custom HTML widget.

Primary nav / top bar — build a menu

Go to Appearance → Menus and create a new menu. Add a Custom Link and paste the social platform URL. Open Screen Options (top-right) and check "CSS Classes" and "Link Target". Expand the link box, check "Open link in a new tab", then set CSS Classes to a Font Awesome 4 class — for example fa fa-facebook. Repeat for each platform.

Font Awesome 4 icon classes

Put one class in the CSS Classes field of each menu item / link:

fa fa-facebook
fa fa-linkedin
fa fa-youtube
fa fa-twitter
fa fa-instagram
fa fa-github
fa fa-medium
fa fa-pinterest
fa fa-tiktok

Footer Social widget — Custom HTML

Go to Appearance → Widgets, open the "Footer Social" widget area, add a Custom HTML widget/block, and paste markup like this (swap in your own URLs). Items without a Font Awesome icon can just use text:

<ul class="sage-social">
  <li><a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/@YourChannel"><i class="fa fa-youtube"></i></a></li>
  <li><a target="_blank" href="https://www.instagram.com/yourhandle/"><i class="fa fa-instagram"></i></a></li>
  <li><a target="_blank" href="https://www.ebay.com/str/yourstore">Ebay</a></li>
  <li><a target="_blank" href="https://medium.com/@yourhandle"><i class="fa fa-medium"></i></a></li>
</ul>
